Join us for the 2009 Hunter Appreciation Dinner Thanksgiving weekend. The dinner is intended to provide hunters with good food and chances to win great prizes while showing area and regional hunters our appreciation for their contributions to this area's economic and cultural vitality. This year's meal brisket and sausage meal will be provided by Hard 8 Pit BBQ.

Prizes up for grabs include a Kawasaki 610 Mule 4x4, rifles, shotguns and sporting goods.

Doors will open at 1pm allowing visitors to view the prizes, visit displays by local businesses, sample snacks and check out a special traveling exhibit from Texas Parks and Wildlife. The Operation Game Thief's "Wall of Shame" will be on display throughout the afternoon.

Back this year is the McCulloch County Jerky Contest. Its a chance for those who feel they have a special knack for making venison jerky to show off their skills. Contestants need to bring a sample of their jerky before 6pm. The winner will receive a plaque and world-wide recognition for his or her jerky making skills!

Admission to the Hunter Appreciation Dinner is $10 and includes the BBQ meal. Tickets for chances to win the Mule are $10 each, while tickets for the gun and sporting goods drawings are $1 each. You do not have to be present to win. Proceeds from the raffle will benefit the Brady/McCulloch County Chamber of Commerce.
