Brady High School

Brady High School is the centerpiece of Brady Independent School District. The campus, located in the southwest corner of Brady, houses the two-story main academic building, a home economics annex, a band hall, a vocational education building, a distributive education annex, two gymnasiums with locker rooms, a football field with oval track, a baseball field, and a practice field with weight room.

An extension campus of Central Texas College (4-year university) is housed in the main academic building. This campus offers both credited and non-credited college courses year round. Because of this fact, and the fact that the high school has many dual-credit classes, many of the high school graduates of BHS have from 20-35 semester hours of college credit when they graduate.

Athletics and UIL competition are very important aspects of campus life. BHS is a member of the 6-3A athletic district, which competes with Abilene Wylie, Early, Clyde, Comanche, and Ballinger. The boys athletic program offers football, basketball, track, baseball, and weightlifting. The girls athletic program includes basketball, track, softball, and weightlifting. High School students participate in numerous other UIL events such as mock trial, one-act play, and many individual academic competitions. For up-to-date scores from athletic events at Brady High School (as well as those at Lohn and Rochelle High Schools), check the sports page at Brady National Bank.

The Famed Brady Bulldog Band receives special attention each year. One of the largest 3A bands in the state, it perenially receives "1" ratings in both marching and symphonic competitions.

Academics are extremely important throughout Brady ISD. As a consequence, the district has been a recognized district for the past three years.
